The Maledictions' sound has been called "Gothic Americana", "Country Noir" and "Nick Cave meets Johhny Cash". "It's all just Folk Music," says band leader, Kevin Orton, "Maybe aggressive Folk but Folk music...I tend to write songs about people who are uninsured".
